Volvo-based electric sedan concept unveiled by Geely’s Lynk & Co

Geely, China’s automotive giant, appears to want to get the most out of its acquisition of Sweden’s Volvo. After using some of the automaker’s engineering and manufacturing talent to set up Chinese operations, the company launched a new global brand, Lynk & Co, to produce hybrid and electric vehicles using Volvo’s own Compact Modular Architecture, on which the Swedish brand plans to launch its own first long-range EV by the end of the decade.

This week, we get a look at Lynk & Co second concept, which apparently has been unveiled early and ahead of the specs.

The brand aims to be global with operations in China, Europe and in the US, where it plans to sell and lease vehicles directly to consumers and through a shared economy model.

Its first model, the 01, a crossover also built on Volvo’s Compact Modular Architecture, is expected to come out in China later this year in a plug-in hybrid version and an all-electric version will follow next year – when it also plans to expand to Europe and the US.

They unveiled their brand, plans, and the 01 last year at Gothenburg’s Lindholmen Science Park.

At the time, the company said that a sedan would follow, but they didn’t release any information about the new concept. Now we learned that they commissioned a series of stunning photos from Fredrik Etoall, which have been shared on social media ahead of an actual unveiling.

While we have yet to know much about the vehicle, we get to see it in great details:
